If you have shown interest in the litter but have not received the initial getting-to-know-you questionaire (26 Jan), please drop me a line at the address on the homepage, or use the guestbook. Four have already gone to their new homes (Hamish, Duff, Clyde and Bonnie)
I am looking for a nearby home for Dot, but realistically the criteria for her are quite high. She is the nearest thing I have to a clone of Gemma, so it will take a special kind of family to give her what she deserves. There will be strings attached. In the interim, I plan to keep training her for a possible home with a relative. Nearby, because she is a potential mum to be, and it would be prohibitively expensive and stressful to ship her long distances, multiple times, in the process of mating and whelping.
The puppies are now registered with the ANKC main register, and the names and registration numbers given below are now official!
I apologise for the delay in dealing with the responses and correspondence - I have been working well into the nights trying to make the yard 'safe' for the multitude of Border Collies running around in it at the moment. The litter's half-sister half-aunt Heather was bitten by a Brown Snake in the yard last Monday, and I've had to institute some very stiff precautionary procedures and fences while I try to a) find the second snake that got Heather, and b) stop any more getting in by netting and blocking all possible entrances. Naturally, this takes longer than I'd like when I have to check carefully every time that I'm not about to grab an angry and experienced brown snake!
I normally do the vaccination/checkup/microchipping early in week 6, but the preferred vet wasn't back on duty until Monday Feb 6th. The kids and I had another huge day; first that visit, then lunch and soon after a photo shoot and socialisation session followed by a "edit and post" session for the photos.
All have now been examined, given a C3 vaccination shot and a microchip implanted and registered with the NSW registry. Each information packet contains a vaccination card and a Health Certificate from the Vet.
Oh, and Heather seems to have recovered well from her ordeal. Last Monday afternoon, she couldn't manage to sit up. Today, she was chasing Shadow around the yard. Under strict supervision! She's a tough cookie, that girl.

Watch out for Bonnie's Leaf Rescue service in the Week 7 video :)
The Fourth video on EweTube Week 7
The Third video on EweTube Week 5
A spread from 5 weeks old. They were not happy about posing for the camera; in deference to those who want to see their markings, some pretty awful shots are included. You should see the ones on the cutting-room floor! Oh well. A video from their fifth week will be posted soon.
